StudyBuilder has four standard promotional programs that can be implemented for your application in less than 30 days in most cases.

Program 1: Promotional cobranding and/or bundling
This program allows you to purchase StudyBuilder products customised with your logos for distribution to your customers at a discount of up to 40 percent depending on volume.
This could be used for promotional giveaways to favoured clients or prospects, or bundled with your existing products and services as a value add.
The package includes:
repackaging of product with your own packaging design or application of your logos to standard areas on existing packaging design.
customization of program start up screen with your logo and a tag line ‘Supplied by ’ (also prominently displayed in the title bar of the application when running).
Inclusion of a custom menu item on the ‘Help’ menu which can be used to launch a link to your own web site, bundled Adobe Acrobat document or executable file.
Drop shipment to a central location or individually shipped directly to customers by registered mail or courier service with a custom cover letter.

To implement this package we will require:
A minimum order of 5 units (StudyBuilder Professional Edition = 1 unit; StudyBuilder Enterprise Edition = 3 units), typically at a 20 percent discount to the recommended retail price.
Package design and logo artwork with the appropriate trademark and copyright releases.
The name of your custom menu item, what action should occur when it is selected and the materials to display/execute when the item is selected.
Delivery address(es) and quantities.
Program 2: OEM data collection device support and promotion
This program is for customers who typically have a novel device, system or service for collecting data in a clinical trial, for example a spirometer, compliance device, specialised visual psychological test or custom form printing technique.
The package integrates your device into the study design process of our software. To illustrate how this works, we will use the example of integrating a spirometer (a device for measuring the amount of air blown out of the lungs of a patient over time).
The areas of customisation include:
Study wizard – allowing the users of StudyBuilder to explicitly indicate that your device or service should be used in the study.
For example, the study wizard might have the option ‘Would you like to download lung function measurements directly from a spirometer or by entering data onto a form?’.
If this option was selected, your spirometer would be added to list of data collection tools used in the study.
Question library – linking the selection of specific questions to prompts that a user should consider using your device or service to perform the trial.
For example, if a user selected ‘FEV1’ (a common lung function measurement), then the user might be prompted with ‘Would you like to download this measurement directly from a spirometer or record it on a form?’.
If the answer is yes, then the system will prompt the user to use the spirometer to make the measurement and automatically download and integrate the data into the rest of the study data.
Live previews – if a user has selected your device for use in a trial, allowing them to visually see what it will be like to use this device in the trial.
For example, the user will see a picture of the spirometer in a preview window, start and stop a measurement, they will respond as they would if it was a real device.
Auto configuration – automatically configuring the copies of StudyBuilder Field Edition that will be used to collect data in the field to give the option to download data from the device and to insert the data it collects into the general data management system supplied by our software.
Auto documentation – automatically supplying user documentation for installation and use of your device if it is selected for use.
Inclusion of this support into the core retail versions of StudyBuilder products.
Every copy of StudyBuilder shipped to our customers will include support for your product.
Optional combination of this package with Package 1.
To implement this package we will require:
At least two sample devices, connecting cables, power supplies and full technical documentation of the product.
General user and installation documentation and copyright and trademark releases allowing unlimited reproduction of these materials modified by us to fit with the house style of standard StudyBuilder generated documentation.
Guidance as to appropriate questions and actions within our software with which to link your product.
A purchase of one full price not for resale copy of StudyBuilder Enterprise Edition for your use in house which will purchase 40 hours of development effort for integrating your product with ours by us.
This will normally be sufficient for most products but in the case of extremely complicated products we may have to charge for additional time at our standard in-house consultancy rate of $150 per hour.
Program 3: In program co-marketing
Do you have a product or service of use to study designers?
For example, do you supply CRF printing services, data management, analysis or other useful products?
We can add your company to our study design wizards so that the path to fast, accurate study design is made even easier by presenting your companies services in the appropriate context.
For example, if a user selects the ‘I will consider outsourcing data management of this study’ in the study wizard, your company profile could appear as a suggestion by the wizard for achieving this.
All you have to do is purchase a not for resale copy of StudyBuilder Enterprise Edition and an annual maintenance package to reach the people who count, when it counts.
To implement this package we will require:
A detailed description of your company, products and services.
Contact details for your sales department.
A 200-word profile of your company that will be presented to the user and the link to a web site which can be followed for more information.
Program 4: Product line and feature build out
StudyBuilder licenses its study design tools, data collection tools and underlying technology for inclusion in third party products.
For example, if you have a web based data collection solution and you would like to add support for a particular type of palmtop computer, you could license StudyBuilder Field Edition for that device from us for distribution with your product.
Items that can be licensed include our study wizard and drag-and-drop study design tools, our library of more than 20,000 ready made questions translated into eight languages and our data collection and management software for desktops, palmtops, web browsers, smart mobile phones and custom applications.
Such products are licensed typically either on a per study designer, per site or per user basis depending on the application with developer and marketing support available charged at our standard consultancy rates.
